Position Yourselves: Page Two
When Judah came to the place where they were told to go, they found the entire multitude dead. Among the dead, and on their bodies, were found an abundance of valuables. It took 3 days to gather all the spoil. Every man of Judah and Jerusalem, with their King in front, went back to Jerusalem rejoicing over their enemies.
So they came to Jerusalem (v28), with stringed instruments and harps and trumpets, to the house of the Lord.
Not only did fear fall upon the kingdoms (v 29-30)when they heard that the Lord fought against the enemies of Israel, but the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his God gave him rest all around.
What if King Jehoshaphat hadn't positioned himself and Judah in the presence of the Lord? Or if they didn't listen to the prophetic voice of God that came forth and instead went out to battle against the multitude coming against them. They would surely have been defeated.
What if Rahab the harlot hadn't positioned herself at the right place and time? She would have lost the opportunity for the salvation of her family and herself. Or, some years back when I held on to the scripture verse in Acts 16:31 that states, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." and prayed regularly with that verse for my family and ten months later I come home and find my family had given their lives to Christ because a man of God came by and talked with them. What would have happened if I hadn't positioned myself first in belief, then in faith and then in prayer? What if I hadn't acted on my faith!
Or, how about the woman in Mark chapter 5 verses 25-34? This woman had a flow of blood for twelve years. She had suffered greatly and none of the physicians could cure her. She heard about Jesus and she said, "If only I may touch His clothes I shall be made well." She heard about all that Jesus was doing, she believed on Him, her faith was built up, and she acted on that faith and got her healing. What would have happened if she hadn't acted on her faith? (Read James 2: 14, 17, 26)
We need to understand the situation of this woman. She was ill, weak and desperate. She fought through the crowd of people to reach Jesus and positioned herself in His presence. She touched Him and the scripture says immediately she was healed of the affliction. Jesus immediately said, "Who touched my clothes?" Now Jesus disciples said (v 31) "You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, "Who touched me?"
But, Jesus knew that out of all the crowd that was pressing in on Him, that there was only one with enough faith to press in and position themselves for their healing. Jesus wanted to acknowledge to this person that what they had believed in had taken place; the woman came and positioned herself at Jesus feet. He said to her (v 34) "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction."
If I hadn't positioned myself, when the opportunity came at a prophetic meeting some years ago, to join in with the praise team, playing guitar, I probably wouldn't be playing today. This positioning also had led me into becoming a worship leader for a season. What if!
It is all about positioning ourselves when God leads us to that point. When we don't move with God, we usually miss out on great blessings and even prosperity. When opportunities arise we need to, in faith, step out into the flow that God has provided for us and move forward. In this next move of God we all need to position ourselves more in His presence so that we will be prepared to move when His glory cloud moves.
So, POSITION YOURSELVES!
